Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Check out this article for some freebies this week.

We are grateful to the PTO for planning some treats throughout the week (and into next week!). Lunch will be provided in the teacher's cafeteria on Thursday, May 7. There will be Marathon Deli wraps and dessert from Yummy Mummy, along with gluten-free options.  Snacks will be set up in the main office throughout the week. The coffee truck will be here on Monday, May 11, around 9:30am. The order sheet is attached here so you can be prepared. If you have class when the truck is here, we will get your order to you. Drop it by the office in the morning or have it ready when someone comes by your class.

Please take a few minutes to review the AP reminders Kelli sent out. Make sure your students understand where to be for their exam.

Friday, May 8, is an Early Release Day. Most will continue to work on PowerSchool modules. After my Train-the-Trainer sessions, I am really excited about this rollover! ESPs will work on the online programs shared by Britt last month.

Prom/Grand March is on Friday, May 8, as well. Junior and senior teachers are welcome to take 3rd lunch. Please let us know if you plan to do that so we can give the cafeteria a heads-up on numbers.

The Chris Walsh Center for Educators and Families is excited to share that we are finishing the semester with an upcoming virtual event. We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing the attached flyer and event information with your families and educators.
We also recognize that not everyone may be familiar with the neurodiversity movement. As you share this information, we encourage you to help foster understanding within your community. The term neurodivergent refers to individuals whose brains work differently from what is considered typical, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning or developmental differences. These differences are a natural part of human diversity. Many individuals benefit from additional support and strategies to build and sustain meaningful friendships, and this session is designed to provide those practical tools.
We invite you to share the details below:

  • Support individuals in building deeper, more meaningful relationships
PDP Opportunity: Educators can earn 1.5 PDPs for attending live.
The session will also be recorded and shared with all who register.

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
