Happy Monday!

It's going to be a warm start to the week. Please feel free to leave windows open overnight if you are upstairs or in the interior of the building.

We will have AP make-up exams and Math MCAS this week, so lots of moving parts. Please check your emails so you can be aware of coverage needs.

Math MCAS-
Here is the information Carolyn sent regarding MCAS on May 13. Please review it carefully and ask ASAP if you have questions:
At this time, all proctors have been trained for the Math MCAS. This email includes important information for proctors, as well as school-wide documents such as room assignments, coverage details, and the list of students scheduled to test.

3. Math MCAS Proctor Assignments and Room Relocations (proctors please take a look again, there were a few room changes)

3, 4, and 6 are linked in the calendar.

It's hard to believe we are starting the last week of classes for the Class of 2026. If you have concerns about a student passing your class, I would appreciate being added to your communication with the counselor and Dean. I have had many conversations with students and will be speaking with some parents today.  Senior obligation forms will be provided to all senior English teachers for distribution in class on Thursday or Friday. Students have been reminded not to interrupt classes to get signatures.

Voting Tuesday: Please remind students who are 18 years old and registered to vote that they are welcome to vote during their study hall or lunch.
There will be an ice cream truck here on Tuesday afternoon for the election volunteers. Please tell students it is not available to them if they ask.

Have a wonderful week!

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
