Good morning-

This week, we celebrate the varied cultures of our community and conclude the week with the Flag Day ceremony. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the following spirit days and stop by the cafeteria to try out their lunch selections:

Cultural Spirit Week & International Menu & Music in the Cafeteria:
  • Mon. 3/9
    • Dress in the colors of a flag of your choosing!
    • Menu & music during lunch: Korea
  • Tues. 3/10
    • Wear your sports jerseys!
    • Menu & music during lunch: Greece
  • Wed. 3/11
    • Cultural clothes, jewelry, and shoes!
    • Menu & music during lunch: India
  • Thurs. 3/12
    • Flag color ribbons!  
      • Stop by the C.A.R.E.S. table during lunch next week and get ribbons the color of a flag of your choosing to tie on your backpack, water bottle, keys, hair, etc.  
    • Menu & music during lunch: Russia
  • Fri. 3/13: The Flag Day Ceremony
    • Wear your school colors!
    • Menu & music during lunch: Mexico

Teachers in years 2/3 from Ashland, Milford and Nipmuc will be in the building as part of the mentoring program today. 

We will have a Class of 2028 meeting during X-block on Wednesday, March 11.

A reminder we have a faculty meeting on Thursday, March 12 at 2:55pm in the AHS library.

As we reach the midpoint of Term 3, please make sure you reach out to the parents/guardians of struggling students and schedule them for your X-block or other extra help times. Loop in the studetn's counselor and Dean as well.

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms & mother figures out there- Best of luck to the special athletes competing in the 5-Town Special Olympics today!  I apologize for the late notice, but we will do a class meeting with the juniors/prom attendees on Tuesday, May 13, and the seniors on Wednesday, May 14, during x-block. Please send your second block seniors to the auditorium, as we are not able to make announcements on 5/14.  Art Saves Ashland, which includes the student art show, as well as the Spring Choral Concert, are happening back to back on Thursday, May 15, starting at 4pm.  The concert is at 7pm in the auditorium. These events showcase the amazing talent of many of our students.  Here is the Early Release schedule for Friday, May 16. You can also find it linked on the school calendar. Good morning- As we wrap up Term 2, please take a moment to remind students of the mid-year exam expectations .  I hope to have the 2026-2027 Program of Studies posted and shared with the community by the end of the week. Thank you for all of the work you did updating it for the coming school year. I am excited by the proposed new classes, and I am sure students will be as well.  The schedule for our day on Friday is as follows: 8:00-9:30 am- UDL Refresher: All staff (unless assigned elsewhere)- AHS library     ESPs - DLL     School counselors, school psychologists, and adjustment counselors - MPY online PD     Nurses - meet as a department     Speech/OT - meet with Britt     EL - meet with Christy  9:30-11:45 am- Department curriculum work as assigned by liaison     10:30-11:45 am- English, math, & sped vertical meetings w/grade 8 & 9 teachers If I have forgotten anyone or you have any questions, do...
