Good morning-

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend.

This is a busy week of assessment. As a reminder, MCAS and Seal of Biliteracy tests are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Here is a reminder of the important information you need. The list of seniors taking the AAPPL test for the Seal of biliteracy is at the bottom. Please be conscious of limiting homework and assessments for the sophomore class.

Important information for proctors, as well as school-wide documents such as room assignments, coverage details, and the list of students scheduled to test.

3, 4, 5 and 7 will be linked in the calendar as well.

Thank you in advance for your support during MCAS season. Please reach out with any questions.

Do not mark these students absent; send them to the Language Lab if they arrive in your class.

Thursday, March 26, is a department/curriculum meeting. All departments will meet for the first 40 minutes of the meeting time. We will gather as a group at the end of the meeting to finish our discussion on the Shared Responsibility for High School Students Who Are Struggling

Next Tuesday, March 31, the sophomore class will have a speaker from Active Minds, an organization that supports mental health. The presentation is from 10:15am-11:15am.

The PD next Thursday, April 1, will be focused on PowerSchool preparation. More details to come.

Medfield will be hosting a District Learning Day on Artificial Intelligence on April 8th. The day will focus on the evolving role of AI in education and practical classroom applications.

All are welcome to attend.  Please see the attached flyer for additional details.

Subject: Invitation to Participate – Massachusetts Educators Culture Survey

Dear Massachusetts Educator,

I am writing to invite you to participate in a research study, conducted as part of my doctoral research at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This research study examines how aspects of school culture—such as collaboration, leadership, and shared values—shape teachers’ professional experiences across elementary, middle, and high school settings in Massachusetts public schools.

The survey takes approximately 10–12 minutes to complete. To begin, please select the link below:

Click here to begin the Massachusetts Educators Culture Survey

As a small token of appreciation, participants may choose to enter a raffle for one of twenty $20 Amazon gift cards. Twenty individuals will each receive one $20 Amazon gift card. Entry into the raffle is optional and completed through a separate form that is not linked to survey responses, so your survey responses remain fully anonymous.

If you have any questions, please contact me at leid@umass.edu. Thank you for sharing your professional insights to help strengthen school communities across Massachusetts.

With appreciation,
Lamiaa Eid

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....
