Happy New Year and welcome back-

It was a quick vacation but I hope you had time to recharge. In just a few short weeks we will have reached the halfway mark to another crazy year.

I am sure you have all been following the rise in COVID cases. It is imperative that you model the expectation of mask wearing for our students. The masks provided by DESE will be placed in your mailboxes weekly.

Please note the following upcoming dates:
Faculty meeting- January 13, 2022
Professional Day- January 14, 2022
    morning- Curriculum work by department
    lunch provided
afternoon- Anti-defamation League World of Difference training (via Zoom)

Challenge Day - February 2, 2022
Please add your name here to be one of the 25 adults willing to support students at this event. We need you!

The Midyear Exam schedule- teacher copy is shared here (please note the adjustment to the last day). The student version of the schedule is found here. Please spend some time reviewing the schedule and expectations with students. Many students are feeling more stress than usual around exams after 2 years away from them. Please stress with them the importance of both preparation and self-care. This will be the first time taking mid-term exams for half of the building.

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

The Ashland Public Library is working on its 5 year strategic plan. With new leadership, post-pandemic (hopefully), and renewed or changed needs for library services, we really want to hear from every member of our community about what the library should prioritize in the next five years. We especially want to hear from our educators and students as it's so important to us to meet the needs of our teachers, administrators, and Ashland's kids. How can we support what you do? Where is the best way to use our resources for your students?

We would also love to hear from you, our teachers and school administrators, whether you live in town or not (did you know you can get an Ashland/Minuteman library card, even if you don't live in town? Ask us how!). Here is the link, please help us get it to every corner of Ashland!

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
