I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
A few reminders as we head into this week:

Blood drive Monday- Donors still needed!

Ashland High School will once again host a Red Cross blood drive on Monday, March 9 from 12:00-5:00pm. The early spots are designated for students and staff. Go to the website linked here to sign up!

Dear Faculty-this is open to you as well!
Ashland High School is pleased to announce a heart screening program being offered during the school day on Wednesday, March 11th. The program will be provided by Mass Heartbeat, a local organization that specializes in ECG heart screening. Mass Heartbeat brings their state-of-the-art ECG technology directly to the school to provide an optional, non-invasive, and COST-FREE screening that can help detect underlying issues in the heart. The ECG tracings are interpreted by an experienced cardiologist and the results will be returned within 5 business days.
Sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot!
Please choose a 5-minute time slot on and register your student today:

Faculty meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 12.
We will discuss x-block, safety protocols, and NEASC.

Parent/Teacher Conferences- March 18:
All staff is expected to be present unless you have committed to participating in a Student Showcase later in the year. Very few people have shared their schedule document with Linda at this point. If you have not shared it Linda will direct all calls directly to you so you can continue to schedule your own appointments. All teachers should have reached out to parents this week to schedule students they have concerns about.

The sophomore class will participate in the Signs of Suicide program beginning Monday, March 16.  The program will be implemented through the Wellness classes but there is potential for students to be called out of class later in the day based on the rating scales they complete during the program.  This is an important opportunity for us to educate students about recognizing signs of depression in themselves and others and get support if needed.

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
