Good afternoon-

Happy Veteran's Day to all who served and who have loved ones that did.

As a reminder, the grading window will be open until Thursday, November 15 at 3pm. We have a short turn-around time so please be sure to run your grade verification and check for accuracy! Turn them in to Linda once you are all set.

I will be out of the building most of the week. Tuesday and Wednesday I will be on the Give Kids the World trip. Friday I will be attending the MSAA Sportsmanship Summit with 10 of our student/athletes as well as Eryn Flynn, who won 2nd place in the Sportsmanship Essay contest. I can't wait to share her essay with you!

Student Council reminders:

1.  The food drive ends on Tuesday, November 13th.  The baskets will be collected first thing on Wednesday, November 14th.

2.  I need volunteers to help judge at hall decorating on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:30pm.  Please email me if you can help out!

3.  I need all "good things" done by clubs since last Thanksgiving (fundraising for charity, community service, social justice activities) entered into the google doc by Thursday, November 15th, at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rwtqplawrf_ujhsi2dhjr-T9wgqaNg2iJKbGOSuHBaQ/edit?usp=sharing

Ashland HS is pleased to announce a heart screening program being offered on Monday, November 19th during the school day. Faculty is welcome to sign up. I have a friend who had
an undiagnosed, treatable heart issue discovered through this screening. It's quick, easy, and worth
the time.
The program will be provided by Mass HeartBeat, a local organization that specializes in ECG
heart screening. Mass Heartbeat brings their state-of-the-art ECG technology directly to the
school to provide an optional, non-invasive, and affordable screening that can help detect
underlying issues in the heart. The ECG tracings are interpreted by an experienced cardiologist
and the results will be returned within 5 business days.

If you are interested you must sign up for a time slot and register:

Check out this videos for more information:

To find out more about the program, see the Heart Screening Guide attached.

We will also be participating in a blood drive through the American Red Cross on November 19 from 12-5pm. Students will have the opportunity to donate from 12-3pm then we will open to the public from 3-5pm.  We need you to make this another great community event!
The public can visit RedCrossBlood.org and use Sponsor Code AshlandHigh65 to sign themselves up from 3p-5p.  All presenting donors will receive a T-Shirt!

Teachers are welcome to sign up during the 12-3pm window. Students will be organizing the
sign-up's for next week.

Please see the flyer below if you like to shop at Barnes & Noble for the holiday:

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
