Good morning-
I hope you had a great weekend!
Grades were opened in iStudent/iParent Thursday, and report cards were published Friday. If you need to make a grade change please complete the form found in the staff handbook and leave it with Linda.
DESE Program Review:
Today (Monday, November 18), DESE will be in the building for the student services program review/evaluation. You may see the evaluator around the building. We will be doing a tour around 10:15am, and he may want to see some classrooms. The purpose of the visit is to see our special education locations/programming to determine if there is appropriate proximity and spacing from one program to the next. The review also evaluates civil rights within general education programs.
JED High School:
The JED High School Healthy Minds survey will be administered to all students on Tuesday, November 19 during x-block. As a reminder, students will take the survey in their homeroom. C period teachers are asked to remind students to go directly to their homerooms. Please distribute students ID's and the Dunkin gift cards, which can be found in your mailboxes, at the end of the period and stress to students the importance of this survey. Survey administration guidelines are found
here. Students will receive the survey link in an email.
Faculty and staff are asked to complete the staff survey on Thursday, November 21. You will have time at the beginning of the department meeting. Staff who do not attend meetings are encouraged to complete the survey and should use x-block on Friday or another time to complete it.
Congratulations to the Unified Basketball team! On Wednesday, November 13 they were awarded the MIAA Sportsmanship Award. They are a model for inclusivity and teamwork.
FYI- I will be out of the building on Friday, November 22, for a personal day.
A message from Student Council:
Hall Decorating" is on Monday, November 25th after school and the Student Council would like some teachers willing to judge the hallways at 7:30pm. (You are welcome to bring your family with you!) Please email Josh and Natalie if you can help out!
In addition, for the Thanksgiving rally, the Student Council will be highlighting the various "good things" that various clubs / teams / etc. have done over the past year (December 2023 - now). Anything involving fundraising for a charitable organization, community service activities, or social justice work. If your group has done anything along those lines, please add something to our
Google Doc (with the exact language you'd like on the poster) by
this Friday, November 22nd.
