Good morning- I hope you had a wonderful weekend. A reminder that this week is a short week as we acknowledge Diwali on Friday, November 1. Happy Diwali to all who celebrate! Tuesday, October 29 is picture retake day. Everyone is required to have an updated 2024-2025 ID so please get your picture taken if you didn't do so already. For your planning purposes, here is the schedule for Tuesday, November 5 professional development: 8:00- 8:30- classroom time 8:30-10:00- ALICE training 10:00-10:15- break 10:15-11:15- bryt presentation (via Zoom) 11:15-12:00- lunch 12:00-2:25- special education law & Easter Seals presentation If you have not done so, please review the MCAS information sent by Meaghan on Thursday, October 28. Good afternoon- I hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend. It was a busy one with homecoming and the farmer's market so it was nice to have the weather cooperate! I hope the groups at the market had a great time. The dance was attended by 600 students. Each year we say it's the biggest one yet. Kudos to Josh, Natalie, and the entire StuCo group for making it a success. We appreciate all you do for AHS. The class of 2028 will be pulled to attend an x-block either Tuesday or Wednesday this week (half of the class each day). It is for a follow up meeting regarding the HappyB2.0 study that AHS students are participating in.  After a busy week this past week, who can think of anything better than wrapping up with ice cream? We will have an ice cream truck here at AHS during dismissal on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Good morning- It will be a busy week here at AHS. Please read this carefully and let me know if you have questions.  As a reminder, Tuesday is the only day we will have an x-block.  Wednesday , students will engage in community service, take the PSAT,  and explore post-secondary options.      If you are proctoring the PSATs, please leave a note on your door asking any students  who are present to go to the cafeteria.      If you are attending community service, you will receive a separate email from me with times and locations. Good morning- There will be a sophomore class meeting on Monday, October 7, during x-block. Students will be called to the auditorium. We have a faculty meeting on Thursday, October 10, at 2:55pm. We will meet in the AHS library. The main agenda item of the meeting will be to discuss the ESP job descriptions shared with you in August and to focus on best practices for working with a support colleague in your classroom. If you have any other agenda items, please let me know.  A reminder that this coming weekend is the first Family Reconnect Weekend of the year. Here are some reminders of expectations to help you plan accordingly.  Teachers –  1. Ensure that long-term assignments are not due upon the return to school  2.
