Good morning- Please take a moment this morning to remind students to sign up for the x-block activities and to stop by the front office for their pictures. We have a very large stack waiting for pick up. The counselors report they have received very few notifications for failing students. Please remember to notify a parent and the counselor if you have a student in danger of failing for the term.  There will be no senior Halloween parade this year.  Picture retakes are Wednesday, November 1. We will call students alphabetically once Lifetouch is set up. Double check your Teachpoint documents to make sure your forms 2B-Benchmarks have been shared with your evaluator.  The November menu for the cafeteria can be found here .  Have a fantastic week!

Good morning- Our first Site Council meeting will be on Wednesday, October 25 at 4pm in the library. Meetings are always open to all so feel free to attend if interested. Department meetings will be held this week. Please communicate with your department liaison if you are not sure when your department is meeting.  This week we look forward to inducting the new members of National Honor Society. Thank you to the Board for the time they dedicate to this process and to all of you who provided letters of recommendation and feedback on the process.  Another reminder to update grades every two weeks in iPass. If you have struggling students please make sure you have reached out to a parent/guardian, their counselor, and schedule them to see you during x-block.  The term will end on Thursday, November 9 and the grading window will open 3pm. Grades will be shared in iStudent/iParent on Friday, November 17 after 3pm.  Please remember when you are taking a half day to p...

Good evening- Thanks to everyone who supported all of the homecoming week events this past week, ending with the very well attended dance Saturday night. A huge thanks to Josh and Erika for all they put into this week. You're hard work is appreciated by the students and staff alike. A reminder that we will not have x-block on Wednesday to help support the PSAT schedule. Hopefully we will have a smooth administration of the test! If you are a proctor, please make sure to follow the steps Cory has shared to create your account and prepare to proctor. Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions. Have a wonderful week.

Good morning- Today, October 2nd is National Custodians Day. Please take a moment to thank the crew when you have a chance. We are truly lucky to have a team that wants to support anything and everything happening at AHS.  For the past few years we have partnered with Mass General Hospital, among others, to offer the iDecide curriculum to students who have been caught using substances such as vapes, alcohol, and marijuana. As part of their research we administer a student survey each year. The survey is brief and should be completed during x-block.  PLEASE READ the   iDecide survey instructions   DURING X-block to all students. There is a small list of exempted students who have been told to the report to the main office. Students are receiving the survey link via their email but you should also read the directions.  As Dr. Caira shared last week, we will have a group of APS administrators in the building conducting learning walks on Tuesday, October 3 . The le...
