Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!! (Be sure to read the message from the PTO below.)

It was a beautiful weekend and I hope you all had a chance to enjoy the sunshine. As a reminder, we have a faculty meeting scheduled Thursday, May 11 in the library. Please let me know if you have any agenda items.

We will have a senior class meeting on Monday, May 15 during X-block.

All members of the junior and senior classes will attend a presentation by Chris Herren on Thursday, May 18. The presentation is about an hour. Students will miss B block that day.  I have shared the Parent Information here if you are interested in learning more about the presentation.

On Friday, May 19 Professional Development will begin immediately at the end of the school day. Some members of the staff will be retrained in CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention). Geoff will reach out to those that need recertification. Everyone else will meet as departments to continue planning and curriculum development for the 23-24 school year.

Here is the final exam schedule for grades 9-11. We will share this with students and parents this week. Feel free to post in your classes and share with students.

A message from the PTO:

Hello!
We'll be at your school Monday morning to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week! The coffee truck will be ready to go around 9:30, and will stay until everyone has a chance to get something. We will have some breakfast pastries and accompaniments as well. If it will be difficult for you to get out to the truck, there is a menu attached that you can print and choose what you would like, and we will be happy to deliver it to you- please just include milk/sugar preference and your name/classroom to bring it to, and leave it in the office Monday morning. We will also have lunch/dessert on Thursday, and will be sure to have both gluten free and vegetarian options.
We hope that you know how much we appreciate you, and all that you do, and we'll see you next week!

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
