Good morning- I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Happy Halloween! The Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, November 2 in the AHS gym.  I will be out of the building all day Thursday as well as Friday morning for professional development.  We will not have a faculty meeting on November 10 and will meet instead on November 17. Please plan accordingly. Please remember that students are meant to stay in their assigned x-block space for the entire time. Do not send them to other classrooms or the library It is important that all staff use eHallpass when sending students out of class or making an appointment for them to visit. We use this information to help track students, in some cases for safety reasons. This was one of the areas of concern observed during the lockdown drill. We could not account for all students because passes were not all provided through eHallpass. As you prepare for the end of the term please keep in mind some grading expectations :   ...

Good morning- I hope it was a wonderful weekend and that all of you who were at Pumpkin Fest have recovered from a fun-filled day. Josh and Erika pulled off an event the town will be talking about for a long time to come. Kudos to them and the entire Student Council, as well as all of the clubs that participated.  Today we will bring back the Pledge of Allegiance and daily announcements at the beginning of second period. Please ask your students to sit quietly while the announcements are read. As a reminder, there is no X-block on Friday. Instead we will enjoy the senior Halloween parade. Randa will share information on teacher/class expectations in the next day or so.  Our first Red Cross blood drive of the year is on Wednesday, November 2nd in the gym (the far end near the weight room) from 12-5pm. Currently, the 12-3pm time slots are reserved for AHS students and staff. The Red Cross currently has a promotion where everyone who signs up will receive  a $10 e-gift card...

Good evening- Hopefully you enjoyed some downtime this weekend and an opportunity to reconnect with your family and friends.  Pictures are in your boxes for Tuesday morning and we will have a 5 minute homeroom to start the day. All students must stop at their homeroom for picture orders and/or their new ID. Students should also receive the photo card provided for each student. This is needed for any families that want to order photos now.  Faculty meeting - Thursday, October 13 at 2:50pm  Officer Muri will be joining us to review safety drills and answer any questions. We will also hear from our ELL teachers who will share some best practices on supporting English learners in the classroom. Please share any questions you may have here so I can share them ahead of time with our presenters.  If you did not get a new ID card in your box this week please make sure to have your picture taken for retakes. All staff should have and wear a 2022-2023 ID card. Save the Date: ...

Good afternoon all- I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Please welcome to Emily Dunn to the AHS team! She is joining us as a long-term substitute in the history department. Remember to leave your Teachpoint documents (self-assessment and educator goals-plan (2B)) unsigned until you have met with your evaluator. You can not make any changes once a form is signed. If you haven't scheduled a meeting with your primary evaluator, please get that scheduled ASAP. Meetings should occur before October 14. Several have asked about Covid protocols/expectations this year. We are not contact tracing and students/families are responsible for identifying an absence because of Covid. The expectation is that a student who returns after a positive Covid test wears a mask at school days 6-10. If a student that you have been told has Covid is not wearing a mask, please feel free to ask the student the student to go to the nurse or the office.  Our Peer Leaders will complete their training...
