Good evening-

Please review MA law around hazing and complete the anti-hazing student group form with your club/activity/team as soon as possible. Forms should be turned into the front office by Thursday, September 29.

Thank you for all your help to ensure we had a smooth start with X-block.  We have moved the cut off time to 9:45am in order to allow more time for teachers to add students, and to give extra time for students who might need a reminder to assign themselves.  We need it to be a team effort to get students to sign up for the week on Monday, and reminding students to check each morning.  Please remind students during 1st/2nd block attendance to check flextime manager to make sure they have an activity for that day.
Also, as a reminder if you want to "plus add" a student to your room from anything other than a study, please email the teacher you are pulling them from to ask if that is okay.

Remember to reach out to your evaluator ASAP to set up meetings to discuss your self-assessment and goals.

Club Announcements for the Homecoming Rally are due by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 20th.  Please update the Google Doc here with the name of the club, who will be speaking, and a 3-sentence update on what they have coming up.

Booth registration, including payment, for Pumpkin Fest is due by this Wednesday, September 21st.  Please submit the registration form here by then!  To get an idea what other groups are doing, and how many "tickets" they are charging, check out the roster here.   If you already registered but haven't settled on a booth title or how many 50-cent tickets your activity will cost, please email Josh (jwiczer@ashland.k12.ma.us) or Erika (ethomson@ashland.k12.ma.us) no later than Friday, September 30th.  And finally, if you are interested in being a part of the "bulk order" to order prizes for this event from Oriental Trading Company, please check out their website and add your order into the Google Sheet here.

Faculty and staff participating in the "Desk Chair Relay Race" at the rally -- please be sure to choose your student by Tuesday, September 20th (and update the Google Doc here.)

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
