Good evening-

I hope this Patriots Day finds you well. It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since the attacks on our nation. We will not do a moment of silence tomorrow during the school day but please let me know if you are doing anything to commemorate the anniversary in your classroom.

The slides from our recent faculty meetings and PD are all linked on the front page of this blog. Please refer to the Important memos & information page for the slides on Educator Evaluation. Thank you to Chad and Holly for your willingness to present to your colleagues on Thursday! As a reminder, if you have questions about the district style guide and expectations, please share them with me as soon as possible.

We look forward to starting X-block activities this week. Please make sure you have entered activities for Tuesday through Friday. During the X-block time on Monday make sure all students in your class have time to choose their activities. Remind them to check their schedule every morning in case you have added them to an activity. Freshmen may need some extra assistance.

Monday, September 12 is picture day for all students and staff. Grynn & Barrett will be set up in the auditorium. We will start by calling members of the freshmen class and work our way up. All staff members should have their picture taken as well (for the yearbook and ID purposes). Please tell students they must have their picture taken for their school ID.

Here is the schedule for Back to School Night.  We will make an announcement at each class change.

Parent members of Site Council will be elected Thursday, September 15 (during Back to School Night).  The student ballot will be sent the following week. If you are a current or newly interested member of Site Council please let me know of your interest in serving on this group.

Review this fact sheet if your club or team is interested in participating in the Ashland Hometown Parade

Have an amazing week!

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
