Good afternoon-
Thank you to all of you who helped with the homecoming events over the course of the last week. Students experienced a fun week, culminating in a great dance Saturday night. Kudos to Josh and Student Council for the immense amount of planning and work. The student body appeared to have a fantastic time, as did the chaperones!
I will be out of the building Monday through Wednesday serving on a NEASC visiting team. I will be checking email during my available time and will respond as quickly as possible.
Picture retake day is Monday, October 25. Grynn & Barrett will be set up in the World Language hall small group room. Please get your picture taken if you missed the last day. You must have a 2021-2022 ID card.
Thanks for your support with administering the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey. This will be really important data for us to have and understand.
Don't forget to to get you classes / clubs / other groups involved in our "Thanksgiving Generosity Drive." Read Josh Wiczer's email from October 18th for details, and to sign up t by clicking this link: https://forms.gle/
Class meetings will be continue during X-block this week. We are covering some concerns brought up by you at the faculty meeting. Respect and responsibility are the main topics as we remind students about appropriate classroom behavior and teacher interactions as well as work completion and meeting timelines.
Please remember it is your responsibility to reach out to students and families if the student is struggling. Do not wait to inform a student and their parent if they are failing your class. Thank you!
The senior Halloween parade will be Friday, October 29 during X-block. Please respond to Janet's email regarding candy and participation if you haven't done so.
Pledge of Allegiance/Announcements: Saying the Pledge is a state law. We will be bringing back student announcements and the all-school pledge in the next couple of weeks. Until then, please make sure you are beginning 2nd period with the pledge each day.
FYI: Snacks no longer available for students at break. It is not feasible for the cafeteria staff to serve that volume of snacks just an hour before lunch starts. Breakfast will continue to be available each morning before school. Encourage students to grab their snack then and hold on to it until break.
Have a wonderful week.
For those of you looking to get Ashland Nutrition teats....they are able to deliver teas and smoothies on Thursdays and Fridays.
