I hope you are all ready for a good week! Thank you so much for your participation in our PD sessions. Your passion and commitment to students is amazing to watch.
We've all seen this before but it's worth sharing again: Rita Pierson: Every Kid Needs a Champion Be a champion to your students this year.
All teachers should check your mailbox Monday morning. Even if you have already picked up schedules, there may have been changes due to our last minute personnel changes. Some new schedules are being printed tomorrow morning and will be in your boxes by 8:15am.
Students will go to homeroom to get a paper copy of their schedule and health/information forms. We will extend the homeroom period until at least 8:35am tomorrow. All students will be asked to go to their homeroom to retrieve their paperwork before going to first period. Please do not send extra schedules and paperwork back to the office until after first period.
Traffic is always an issue the first few days of school so please be patient while students, families, and busses work out the kinks.
New teacher signs have been hung. If you had one already the new one is in your mailbox. I will be ordering the sticky Velcro holder so we don't lose them this year when the humidity sets in.
Please take time to review the Faculty handbook Linda shared last week. There is a lot of important information in there. I encourage you to get back in the practice of sharing calendars with your students. It's a great tool to help students with planning and organizing.
Thanks for continuing to use SchoolDude for any room and IT requests. Randy and team went through classrooms with the master schedule Friday and Saturday to make sure rooms had the needed number of desks as well as cleaning supplies. Please thank them when you see them!! They worked really hard this summer.
