I hope you are all ready for a good week! Thank you so much for your participation in our PD sessions. Your passion and commitment to students is amazing to watch. We've all seen this before but it's worth sharing again:  Rita Pierson: Every Kid Needs a Champion  Be a champion to your students this year.  I am excited to announce a personnel change (yes, Friday afternoon was eventful): Matt Banks will now be our 0.6 Spanish long-term substitute, covering Emily's maternity leave.  We will be re-opening the search for an ELL ESP so please bear with us as classes you might have expected support in are not covered. Our Thursday and Friday morning meetings will be in the AHS auditorium....

I look forward to this being a year of growth and change as we take what we learned from the last 16+ months and incorporate it into new ways of teaching and learning.  The building is coming along thanks to the hard work of our custodial staff, including some students! One young woman told me she is so grateful to have spent the summer cleaning the building because it feels so good to help her school community. I loved that! Our PD days this year will focus on relearning and rebuilding. We will go back to our core values and vision of the graduate, think about our "why?", continue our work in diversity, equity, and inclusion,...
