Welcome back-
I hope you were able to get some rest over this break. It was well deserved after our first full week back. As we head into the home stretch I know it will go quickly.
Senior shout-out's! Thanks to all of the teachers who have submitted a shout out to a member of the Class of 2021. We still have students who need to hear a positive. The list is attached (any highlighted name means they already have a shout out): Class of 2021 list

A reminder that all members of the Class of 2023 will participate in the Signs of Suicide program this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Impacted classes have been notified but please be cognizant of any sophomore you feel might be struggling.
Expectation reminders: Please remind students they should not have anything to drink except water in the classroom. Coffees should be discarded when entering. Please step into the hallway at the end of class to remind students to use the one-way hallways.
We are going to hold detentions for the remainder of the school year starting this week. Please send students to the office in they are arriving late. We have had close to 50+ students arriving after 8:35am and have sent reminders to students and parents that the expectation is they are in their seats by then.
Pool testing for all staff and students will remain on Tuesday. Stop in to the DLL starting at 8am. Starting next week all students participating in athletics will be required to test. I anticipate any students who participate in in-person clubs will also have the same expectation in the near future. More details to follow.
May 14 is an early release day. We will continue with our equity training with our consultants Kris and Des.
We will be filming our Academic Awards Night, scheduled to be aired on WACA on Wednesday, May 19 at 7pm. Let me know if you have something you'd like to include. Liaisons determine how your department would like to film your piece at your department meeting this week.
I am in the process of updating NEASC staff list. If anyone is interested in potentially serving on a team please let me know. It is a wonderful professional development experience.
This article was shared in the Marshall Memo and I appreciated the points on Enduring Practices from Remote Teaching. Many of you have brought forward ideas and thoughts on things you've learned and what you would like to bring with us after this experience. Thank you!
