Good afternoon-

At the risk of being super repetitive, I have attached the Updated AHS COVID procedures again here in preparation for our full in-person return on April 12. It includes the schedule and building protocols/expectations. Please take some time to remind students of expectations over the next two weeks. We appreciate your help in making sure they use one way hallways and maintain proper mask use. I will send student reminders as well.

As a reminder you will have a full day of prep on Wednesday, April 7 to get ready for full in-person learning. Furniture should be all moved into classrooms by then. You can work from school or home that day.

The last day of Term 3 is Friday, April 9. Grades must be in by Wednesday, April 14 at 3pm and grades will be released on Friday, April 16.

We will have a Faculty meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 3pm.

The First 4 days:
Just like the beginning of a school year I am asking that you spend the first days back in April focused on relationships, engagement and classroom culture. We will celebrate having all of the students back in the building with safe fun! As a The PBIS team is planning an all school activity, to be held in each room on Monday, April 12 (we will not mix classes for this activity). We will share a schedule for the day this week. I also anticipate holding class meetings the first couple of days back.

SOS (Signs of Suicide) planning:
We will once again administer this curriculum to all members of the sophomore class. They will participate in the program on April 27-28 and several classes will be impacted. A specific schedule will be released soon. Please support our counseling department as they deliver this important program, which helps identify students who are struggling with mental health. Now, more than ever, this needs to be a priority.

Have a wonderful week!

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
