Good afternoon- At the risk of being super repetitive, I have attached the Updated AHS COVID procedures again here in preparation for our full in-person return on April 12. It includes the schedule and building protocols/expectations. Please take some time to remind students of expectations over the next two weeks. We appreciate your help in making sure they use one way hallways and maintain proper mask use. I will send student reminders as well. As a reminder you will have a full day of prep on Wednesday, April 7 to get ready for full in-person learning. Furniture should be all moved into classrooms by then. You can work from school or home that day.  The last day of Term 3 is Friday, April 9. Grades must be in by Wednesday, April 14 at 3pm and grades will be released on Friday, April 16.  We will have a Faculty meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 3pm.  The First 4 days : Just like the beginning of a school year I am asking that you spend the first days back in April focu...

Good afternoon- Happy World Down Syndrome Day! We are so lucky to have a community that is accepting of and blessed by people with the 21st chromosome.  As I shared in the letter Friday, we have had some examples of not being accepting of all recently. Thanks to faculty members who have responded and will attend our discussion Tuesday, March 23 at 6:30pm. There is still time to join us if you are interested in being a part of the conversation:  Registration: Hate Speech & Social Media-an AHS conversation   All are welcome! Thank you for your questions about the full in-person opening on Friday. I have attached the Updated AHS COVID procedures again here. Please take some time to review and offer suggestions or ask questions. As I said Friday, nothing about our procedures will change (one-way hallways, distancing, use of eHallPass, masks, etc.) but it will take all of us to remind the students of these expectations. You will have a full day of prep on Wednesday, April ...

Good afternoon all- I hope you had a wonderful weekend. The weather was certainly bizarre. Information on Friday, March 19 will be forthcoming but you can plan to use most of the time for preparing for the full return. I will host an discussion session at some point during the afternoon. We will have much to discuss over the next couple of weeks as we prepare for full in-person learning. I am sharing the Updated AHS COVID procedures here. Please let me know if you have questions or ideas. I'd love to hear things you feel need to be addressed as we bring all students back.  Please continue to enforce consistent mask use and remind students to follow all building protocols. Students should exit your classroom following the one way hallway directions. eHallpass should be used when students need to leave a class for any reason.  Term 3 will be extended to April 9, 2021. Start to plan accordingly for grading as report cards will be released on  April 16. Grades will have to b...

Good evening- I hope you found some time to relax this weekend. It's nice to be looing forward to warmer weather despite the cold this weekend. This weeks news is repetitive: We are scheduled for a faculty meeting on Thursday, March 10. In place of the meeting please find time to connect with and thank at least 5 colleagues (try to make it colleagues you don't see often). Write them a note or an email, stop by for a chat about something non-work or COVID related, etc.  Try to do something for selfcare on March 10 at 3pm. We have an early release day scheduled for March 19 and will continue our equity work that afternoon. Stay tuned for a schedule.  This week I started to recognize members of the Class of 2021 with the "shout out's" you have shared. Thank you to all of you who have responded to the survey. It is attached here if you haven't had a chance to do a shout out for students yet:  Class of 2021 Shout out's . You can use the form as many times as y...
