Happy Friday all! I hope you had as wonderful as a Teacher Appreciation Week as possible in this time. You are all very appreciated!
And a very happy Mother's Day to all of you who are positive mother figures to children, especially this year.

You were all cc'd on the letter to seniors but I wanted to share it here as well. My hope is the faculty can be a part of the graduation parade on June 7, 2020 by lining the drive of Ashland High School for the parade. I shared with the seniors today that 77% of respondents listed having faculty and staff as a part of their celebration as important (4-5 on the scale).
Letter to the Class of 2020 re: Graduation plans

Here are some reminders from the email sent by Barbara Durand regarding clean-out:
Each teacher may sign up for a maximum of four (4) sessions.  If you think you will need more than the four slots, please email Barbara Durand and me to let us know.  If you are not on the list for sign up and would like an opportunity to come in, please send an email to Linda Chaney to ask for your name to be added to the list. Linda will share your name with Central Office.  This applies to ESP's for the most part. Please do not plan to be in the building at the same time as a teacher you share a room with. If you only need to come for short time to collect belongings you can plan to come by for 15 minutes to do so without signing up for a slot.

You must enter and exit the building through the front door. Doors should be propped open.  At the front door there will be hand sanitizer and baggies with a set of 15 masks and gloves. If you need them please take ONE set.  If you have your own mask/gloves you do not need to take any of these. You do not need to wear your mask when you are in your classroom/office alone.
Please pick up the work packets and materials in the lobby when you arrive and bring them to your classroom (or recycle them). We'd like to clear the tables for use.

Custodians are in the process of cleaning out all lockers. They are bagging the personal items and labeling them. You will also find bags and tape for labeling in your rooms. You can put student belongings left in your room in the bags and label them. If you do not know who they belong to please secure them in your closets.

We will work to consolidate bags with anything from lockers and custodians will move all bags to the gym, which will be our eventual staging area for pick up after Memorial Day.

At this time there is not a plan for students to return textbooks and other items. We hope to have a plan for this ready for early to mid-June.

I will continue to say, you have all been amazing. Enjoy your weekend! I look forward to seeing some of you on Monday.

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
