Good evening all-
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was definitely good to unplug from the computer and Zoom meetings.
This week our Faculty check-in will be on Tuesday, April 7 at noon. Bring your lunch and check in about how things are going. I am looking forward to hear how the first few days of remote learning have gone. Please remember to give yourselves and the students time to adjust.
At this time you can stop cc'ing administration on your class emails. We were doing that in order to drop links into the Enrichment Website. Now that we are on to Remote Learning we are all set! Thank you for sharing with us up to this point. It has been amazing to see the work you are doing.
We will be talking more this week about some guidelines for grading and attendance. Please share your thoughts, questions, concerns with your department liaison. We are meeting Monday at 2pm. Read this article that Jim posted as well. Keep school-Cancel grades-It's what you do in a pandemic
If you still have students who have not engaged or been heard from on Friday please complete the attached survey. Remember to reach out to students as well as their parent/guardian. I shared resources on how to keep your phone number blocked on Friday.
Students You Have Not Had Contact With Survey
We will hold class meetings again all week at 1pm. Tomorrow I am going to try GoogleMeet with the seniors. Here is the link if you want to join: meet.google.com/rqz-vzbm-sqo
Once we see how this goes I will send out either GoogleMeet or Zoom invitations for the other classes.
We started the year thinking about our student's social-emotional needs. Remember when we listened to the song "You Will Be Found" and Andrew Dunn's graduation speech? I have been thinking a lot the past couple of weeks of the increase in concerns we are going to see. I have also thought a lot about how each of you is doing. This came into my inbox this weekend so I wanted to pass it along if you didn't see it.
