Good afternoon-
Once again it was wonderful to see some of your faces at the Off Site meeting. Grateful for that opportunity! If it was regular night I would be sitting in heavy traffic on 128 and the Pike on our way to the AEFI Gala. I'm sad to miss it but not sad to miss the traffic. Instead I am home listening to (and participating when songs like the YMCA are on) my daughter's dance party hosted by her teacher on Zoom.
The buildings are closed. No one should enter the building without permission from the Superintendent. Hours are varied and you may find yourself setting off the alarm. But more important than that is respecting the work of the people who have to be in the buildings on certain days. Custodians are working hard to keep the kitchen area clean after meals are distributed as well as making sure they have checked and secured the building. They have been cleaning and sanitizing and if they don't know you are there they can not sanitize your area. We need to respect their health and safety but respecting the expectations. There is talk of planning a day to allow people in to retrieve more of your materials but this day has not been determined yet. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.
Schedule and expectations moving forward-
More details of what learning will look like will be coming. I know many departments have looked at the draft proposals. We won't start working within a new schedule until it is approved and agreed upon. I have continued to enjoy popping into classes and will remind students of online class expectations when we meet next week. Shirts on and no gaming seem like reasonable asks to me!

Grading-
Several people have asked about grading work collected and turned in on or before March 12. You should grade things that were handed in and include those grades in iPass. More to come on what grading will look like once we start moving forward with curriculum.
TDA Driver's Education-
I let parents know tonight that I was concerned about student's choosing Driver's Ed over class time. Feel free to let students know they should be attending your class not Driver's Ed and the hope is that once they are earning credit for completing the work that will become their priority.
As of now I plan to hold another Faculty meeting Monday morning.

Have a great weekend and stay healthy and happy!
