Good afternoon and Happy Veteran's Day.
Thank you all for the time and energy you put into PD on Friday! We value your thoughts and input and appreciate your honest feedback. Growth and change is hard but crucial to moving forward as a great school. Please share with me notes, questions, ideas, and concerns. Our goal as administrators is to keep having conversations.
I enjoyed this article about gratitude so thought I would pass it along. There are some great ideas here. We have so much to be grateful for at AHS. Great kids, amazing colleagues, and a supportive community. As we celebrate a month that focuses on gratitude and thanksgiving I thought it would be nice to share what others are doing and thinking about. Send along stories of gratitude in the classroom that you see every day.
As a reminder grades should be entered in iPass by Wednesday at 3pm. Report cards will be available in iStudent and iParent next Friday, November 15 after 3pm.
Once again, attendance taking has become a concern. It is your professional responsibility to take attendance each period. Please do so and call the office if you have a student marked present who is not in your room, and vice versa.
As part of the expectations from the DESE tiered focused monitoring you are all required to review and thoroughly read the newly accepted SC policy on physical restraint SC Policy JKAA- Physical Restraint Policy . Please let me know if you have any questions.

A message from Decisions at Every Turn:
Last week you received a small card in your mailbox from the STAND campaign.
In addition, the STAND campaign has asked that you complete this brief STAND Faculty survey form hoping you will use to provide any feedback that you may hear about the STAND campaign, including any anonymized student interactions with or about the cards or posters. Responses from the form will go through Google to Saumya Sankhavaram, DAET Coordinator. Responses to the form are optional - the form is anonymous, and will not be publicized or distributed in any way. Any feedback that you can offer would be much appreciated, and please feel free to use the form to suggest or request additional resources
