Happy Monday-
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and had a chance to enjoy the warmer weather. Here's hoping it stays for the rest of the Spring.
Important news about MCAS:
All members of the sophomore class will be taking the English MCAS this week. Students will test Tuesday, March 26 & Wednesday, March 27. This is the first time students at AHS have taken the Next-Generation MCAS test but our 10th grade students have taken MCAS on the computer before, in grades 7 & 8. Please make sure to review all information shared by Lauren about MCAS administration. It is your responsibility to know when you are proctoring. Please be on time and familiar with test administration expectations. These were reviewed at the last faculty meeting and shared in the Powerpoint sent to you on March 11, 2019.

Friday was a fun day in Holliston for the 5-Town Special Olympics. It was fun to watch our athletes enjoy hockey skills and games with their peers from Holliston, Medfield, Medway, and Millis. It was even better to see their pride in their accomplishments. The torch was passed to Ashland during the closing ceremony and we look forward to hosting next year! Thanks to all of you who came out to send them off with cheers int he morning.

Lauren also sent the following message on Friday, March 22. Please review it and add to the Google form if needed.
ALL study halls should report to the cafeteria during MCAS testing
If you are proctoring MCAS but have a few non-sophomore students in your class while you are proctoring, please tell them to go to the cafe and list their name here so study hall teachers can take attendance.

Department liaison/lead learner meeting: Please join us in the library after school on Tuesday, March 26 at 2:50pm to discuss: Senior exam week schedule adjustments, CP2 versus Honors community perceptions, and any other topics of interest to you!
We all have a lot on our plates but we need to remember certain daily expectations:
1. Please do not prop doors open and walk away. If you need to leave the building use the front door and notify the office by stopping by or calling "0". If you need students to step outside for project work you must stand by the door while they are outside. Doors must not be propped open and left unattended.
2. Please take attendance every period, as soon as possible and report missing students to the office by calling "0". Make sure your students are signing out of the classroom using their full name and an accurate location.
