Good evening-

Fall certainly hit this weekend.  I hope you have found time to relax and enjoy the cooler weather.

Monday kicks of Start With Hello Week and our Peer Leaders have a variety of activities planned.  Please help support them by having fun and encouraging all students to be involved.

Evaluation due dates:
Self-assessment and goals are due to be shared on Friday, September 28. I have linked the drafted shared goals here and they can be found under Important Memos & Information. All educators should make an appointment with their evaluator to discuss the goals and their educator plans by October 12.  Schedule your meeting now so you have time!

The Parents Night Schedule will be shared tomorrow.  The evening runs from 6-8pm and A block will start at approximately 6:20pm.  I will remind parents that the goal of the evening is for you to share your class expectations and curriculum and you will not have time to engage in conversations about individual students.

MCAS scores will be publicly released at the end of the week.  I am looking forward to learning more about the new accountability process and sharing it with all of you.

Researchers are asking for your help with a study about students and disciplinary
decisions entitled, Disciplinary Review Board: A field-based simulation.
  • Participation is totally voluntary
  • Survey is online, take at your convenience
  • Review student conduct violations, rate severity, recommend suspension
  • Answer a few questions about attitudes and demographics
  • No one will be told whether you participate or not

Good afternoon- Thanks to everyone who helped to make New Student Orientation a success last night. It was great to see so many students and staff in the building. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. We start at 8AM in the auditorium. There will be some members of the Class of 2026 painting their parking spots on Monday afternoon. Please try to park in the faculty parking lot or in the back of the building if you usually park in the student section.  New staff, please join the staff  Google Classroom . All information sent to faculty/staff will be housed here. The  class code is a5ca6a4. The custodians have been working hard to make sure each classroom has the correct number of desks (minus study halls). There may be a few classrooms off a desk or two based on student moves at the end of this week. If anyone has furniture in their rooms that is not being used, please let me know. We are short some L-shaped desks, under-desk file cabinets, and bookcases....

Good afternoon- I hope you have been able to dig out from the storm. Tomorrow is sure to be a little chaotic, and I fully predict we will have students who don't understand the exam schedule changes and families who may keep their students home. We will need to be flexible! Stay warm! Here is the schedule for tomorrow:  G block exam: 10:30 am- 12 pm Lunch: 1st (12:05-12:35) - English, math, & science             2nd (12:40-1:10) - history, world language, unified arts, special education, ELL & wellness Students will need to be asked to remain in their class for first lunch and return to the class they were testing in for second lunch. We will do our best with this but are not going to stress about kids being elsewhere. We have no way of knowing how many G block students are staying for A block.  A block exam: 1:15 pm- 2:45 pm Along with the updated midyear exam schedule .  Grades for Term 2 will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a...
