Good evening - I hope that your Thanksgiving was filled with special time with family and friends. It was difficult to start with the reminder that life is fragile.  I know many of us were greatly saddened by the news of Nathan Noel's death . Some of our counselors will be available in the main office conference room or their offices if you are in need of time to process, check in with colleagues, share a special memory, or anything else you may need before school tomorrow and throughout the day. I will be in touch in the coming day or two with plans on how we can provide support to the family.  Some of our students may also be feeling the impact of this loss. This resource was recently shared with the students when they completed the Metrowest Adolescent Health Survey. Please encourage students who are struggling with this loss, or any other issues, to access a trusted adult such as their school counselor. Likewise, let the counselor know of any concerns you might have about...

Good morning- Happy Thanksgiving Week! As we head into the short week I want to say how thankful I am to work with all of you. Your commitment to students and each other makes AHS a truly special place to work. I hope you have some downtime along with special family and friend time over the next week.  Don't forget to take some time to recognize the students who have demonstrated core values this year. Good morning from Orlando- It has been a wonderful few days volunteering with members of the Make a Wish club at Give Kids the World. What an amazing experience for them to support children facing life threatening illness and their families. I know it puts a lot into perspective for all of us that are here. To watch the students make connections and a difference in the lives of the students is an incredible gift.  As you work on your grades please remember that a minimum grade of 50 should be entered for any failing student. This will remain the practice moving forward. If you have a student that is not engaging at all I will assume you have already had a conversation with the counselor and Dean about that student's grade. The grading window will close at 8:10am on Thursday, November 16.  Please review the information regarding the Metrowest Adolescent Health survey which we will be administered on Thursday, November 16. The modified schedule for the day can be found on the c...

Good morning- Hard to believe we are already at the last week of Term 1. Grades will close for students/parents and open for you on Thursday, November 9 at 3pm. Grades must be completed by Thursday, November 16 at 8:10am. Report cards and grades will be shared with students and families on Friday, November 17 at the end of the school day. If you are a campus aide, please be sure to check your email each morning at 8:10am as you may be reassigned to cover a classroom instead of a hallway.  If you are a club adviser please check this document, taken from the AHS website, and update the information that is posted about your club. If your club has a regular meeting time, please add that to the information. Otherwise, please add Meets: Please watch announcements for meeting times . I am looking forward to chaperoning the Give Kids the World trip for the first time since 2019. Therefore, I will be out of the building starting Wednesday afternoon through Tuesday, November 14. I wi...
