Welcome back agendas

Good evening- I'm looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning.  I enjoyed this article that popped into my mailbox this morning.  We are in this for the kids and we have to model working together.  Several of the kids at the leadership summit talked about hearing the word collaboration on college tours this summer. I believe it is a skill we have continue to build on as we work towards creating great graduates. All Towards Supporting Students The agenda for our times together over the next couple of days is attached.  My hope is to do some nuts & bolts at our meeting tomorrow then spend our time together on Tuesday looking out who were are and where we are going on Tuesday.  We will review our expectations for students, I will share some highlights from the NEASC Collaborative Conference report, and we will start thinking about our vision of the graduate.  All of this will be done through small group work and collaboration. Welcome back to 2018-2019!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful summer and you are feeling ready for a great year.  It has been wonderful to see so many of you over the past couple of days.  I filled out my slide for Paul Vieira the other day, thinking a lot about what motivates and inspires me.  Relationships is the word that kept coming to my mind.  I have spent the summer reading a variety of articles and putting aside things I might share.  I chuckled when I opened this article, which was first on the list....  3 Reminders for the Beginning of the Year .  My big reflection this summer was that I want to do everything possible to make sure we have a positive year.  I feel last year started with a perception that it was going to be a tough one, and that came true.  In some cases we judged kids before we knew them. We let their reputation precede them, at least I did. Let's start this school year off with a positive, hopeful attitude.  The kids will feel i...
